    Passenger airlifted from Balmoral

A passenger was airlifted from Balmoral to hospital this morning, she's currently coming up the Channel to dock at Dover in the morning.

BBC News - Ill woman airlifted from cruise liner off Lizard coast

This is the third airlift on the cruise, we had two last week on the outward trip to the Canaries.

Great ship, had a fantastic time and our party all wished we could stay on board instead of flying home from Tenerife.

Glad you liked Balmoral, Liz. We did a mini cruise on her last year and loved the ship. It was the smallest we have been on to date but it felt as though there was loads of space both inside in the lounges and bars and also on the open decks.

    Great ship!

    Cruising my way through life!

I think Balmoral is the best of the Olsen fleet, not to say the others are not VERY nice too!

Three airlifts, one cruise, that must be a record?;)

Unfortunately, this was the fourth passenger airlifted from Balmoral, the third was picked up on Thursday morning. Sadly, there were also two deaths on this cruise.

Now that's a record, and not a very good one.

Glad I wasn't on that cruise: too depressing, I reckon.
Give me my younger bigger ships with 3,000 far-younger people on board!
