Please excuse my ignorance, but is Pate the same as Foie Gras?
    Please enlighten me,
I love Pate as do my children, but Iwill certainly avoid it like
    the plague if it is.
    HELP
Don't worry, Natalie. There is a big difference between pate and foie gras. Although both are made from the liver, it is only artificially fattened to produce foie gras. I'm quite fond of pate myself, especially on just-baked bread, Mmmmmm!!

    Cruising my way through life!

You were correct, it was in the Queens Grill, it was not on the menu, but if you give them a days notice they will make anything for you as long as they have the ingredients. I have never had foie grass in any other cruise lines restaurant. we were on the QV the maître D is Andrew Nield, his famous story was about an American who tried to order elephants ear, not fazed by this request he asked would that be African or Indian sir

    Hi Peter
You must have been in the Grills as we have cruised 4 times on the QV and have never seen it on the menu in the Britannia Rest

We are going to the Baltic on it in July and I will look out for it
