Cannes
The South of France is so where it's at!

Cannes doesn't have a port so we had to tender ashore
- it was us and Carnival Splendor, anchored out in the bay
Cannes waterfront..as we tendered in
Locals gather for Sunday Lunch!
Nice town -with interesting little shops
-some of them open, even on a Sunday

Really loved Cannes, there are some lovely walks through quiet little streets and best of all, a wonderful fruit and veg market where you can buy local cherries and peaches for a couple of Euros (really it is that cheap) and then have a picnic. We found if you walked for a couple of minutes away from the main shopping street you could find coffee and ice creams fairly cheaply too.

It looks alot quiter than when film festival is on,a 100yd journey is suddenly a half mile trek as so much is closed, but still an experiance not to be missed,we was anchored off for 3 days so had a lot of time to explore and go ashore in evenings,do they know how to charge for drinks in bars

Mountains to our South-West
The view from OV2's bow deck, while anchored at Cannes.
Carnival Splendor was also there, that Sunday
