Red Sea Cruise
Hi
We are planning a red sea cruise with Thomson in February, like info on all ports of call and what would be the best organised trips.

Most of the ports are industrial (ugly) a little remote, so not easy to do your own thing in. However there are many facinating excursions on offer. The Thomson experience is a very good one for the fare paid.

In my opinion ...Petra and Cairo are the 'must do' excursions on this cruise and perhaps Luxor (although we did this as a separate Nile cruise for less than £500 for a week and saw alot more!!) If you have already been to Cairo there is not much else to do in Sokhna apart from a short excursion to a beach.....we stayed on board on our last visit and enjoyed a near empty ship for the day!!! If you don't go to Luxor there are short trips to Hurghada and I think to a beach hotel resort...the excursions are all listed with prices on the Thomson website under Ports of Call in the Cruise section.
February is a nice time to go...very warm usually! (although Petra will be cooler I expect)
