Hi Folks! My name is Hannah....

Having worked for www.cruise.co.uk since 2007 I'm a relative newcomer to the Cruise Industry, but I just love it! What a brilliant job I've got. I've been on some fabulous ships, and met some great people. I have some wonderful clients, real characters, and I'm always happy to find them the best deal I can.
I'm hoping that I can learn lots from all you members and maybe help you out too where I can.
Looking forward to getting to know you all, and who knows - I may find you some great deals. Watch this space!

Hi, thank you for the welcome! How is the 'we want a badge campaign' going? Any progress? My current project, apart from selling cruises, is the poor standard of vegetarian food on ships. Does anyone have anything to say on the subject?

    Welcome Hannah

Cabins? Cabins? Soften you up they do, when I were a lad we had to sleep on the deck with only our lifejackets to keep us warm.

    More choice needed!

    Hello Hannah,

As part of the cruise dot team are you able to put pressure on any of the cruise companies regarding the vegetarian food?

On our cruises too date, the veggie choice has largely been good, with a few bizarre exceptions, which I could overcome and avoid, as I also eat some fish. But, it's the choice or lack of, that I perceive as the problem! There is usually only one vegetarian main course dish on the menu & if people don't like that it could be difficult!

    Regards, Lizzie.

Hi Hannah and welcome to THE forum. The veggie subject is often mentioned on here and I'm sure a few of the regulars will be putting their oar in soon.

Hi Hannah, welcome. I have cruised quite a few times now and although not a true vegetarian, (i only eat fish and chicken) i have never found any problem in finding something tastey among the many dishes that are served. I have cruised with my friend who is wheat and gluton intolerant and on the last cruise the lady we dined with was a Coeliac sufferer. They had both registered the fact when they booked and were served excellent meals. Bread, biscuits, even down to the gravy, thier needs were catered for and nothing was too much trouble.
