Can I drop off my case and walk to Ikea for breakfast

Hi to all that have sailed form Southampton before! We have, just once earlier this year however as we are more familiar with things, can someone answer me this question?

Our flight arrives from Glasgow in to Southampton at around 8.15 am and last time, was sat in the bar at the airport before going to the terminal.

This time we would like to go to the terminal after we land rather than spend a lot of money in the airport bar on food and drink, drop off our cases and then go to say Ikea for breakfast and then wander around the shopping centre that I think is next to the port.

Firstly, can we drop our cases off that early and secondly, is Ikea easily accessible on foot from the terminal for breakfast and the shopping centre that I think is close, is it really that close?

Any info appreciated as we are on Independence this weekend coming - 28th August.

    Many thanks in advance

    Karen

Which cruise terminal? You can walk to the from the 'City Cruise Terminal' to the shops/Ikea is about 10-15 mins.

I live in Southampton and ikea do a great breafast! Also if it is a good day mayflower park is opposite where you can see all ships in dock and cases can normally be drpped off fairly early or leave them at my house lol
