    Ship Visits

Anybody know of any possible ship visits to go to in Liverpool port?
What ships and dates and who to contact?

Ring the tourist info at Liverpool. They will tell you which ships are due to visit. next one is Seabourn Pride 29.9.09 then QM2 ON 20.10.09.

The only way to get on board as a visitor to to write to the company e.g. Cunard give them the date you want to visit and hope for the best. Not all companies will do this. Also some companies selling cruises e.g. Mundy Cruising arrange visits. Normally they only let you visit a ship once and hope you'll want to book. The usual cost is £25 - £35 per person, sometimes includes lunch and that is deducted from yoiur bill if you book.

This site lets you look at any port or ship in the world. Hint..For some reason Liverpool is listed under England and not UK

Hi Gareth, yes I did, how frustrating is that!! I had to email Fred as the flyer from them said that was the only way to book. Straight away came back the reply that Bouddica was full and was I interested in any of the others? I replied that I wasn't as we only live 12 miles or so from Liverpool and also we were interested in booking the ship for a trip to Norway, this didn't help me at all and I asked could I be informed if there were any cancellations but there was no response. So quite annoying if there were still places available last week. I think I will re e-mail them and see what happens. Thanks for the info, Carol

I would ring them - that's what I did for my parents - I emailed them first and got no reply - so rang them booked it and paid the £50 total and a confirmation reference etc - a few days later they replied to my email saying it was full !! When we booked they had more than 2 places left.
