Hi, I'm with you on this one I can't find balconies either! I googled it and then added staterooms, it says even the suites just have a picture window. 543 cabins but no balconies.. Carol

Hello Knihgtcruiser.
Having cruised on Melody last month I can confirm the ship has not got any balconies. That is not the only thing it has not got.
1) It has not got good hot food. 2) It has not got good entertainment. 3) It has not got reasonably priced drinks. 4) It has not got tea at other than breakfast and high tea (between 4 and 5 pm). 5) It has not got any interest in making it a memorable experience if you are an English speaking guest. 6) It has not got a maƮtre d' that is interested in enforcing the formal dress code on gala nights. 7) It has not got anything I go cruising for except the itinerary and even then unless you buy their excursions they are not interested in helping you make the best of those.
If you haven't committed yourself financially choose a different cruise line. See my review on this and the Holidaywatchdog.com website. A very disappointed MSC Survivor

hello again Knightcruiser, The following is advertising Ocean Village cruising from Majorca and/or Crete up to and including 14th October. Check out Cruise holiday offers, discount cruise deals, cheap cruises and luxury cruises at 1st4cruising
Although I have never cruised with them some good friends of mine who were on the Melody with us have cruised with Thomson Cruises and say they are far superior to MSC melody and I guess they are aimed at a similar market to O.V. Hope this helps. You obviously use the web to research cruises so why not check out the Thomson Ships.

Hello again, although the Thomson ships look fine,we do prefer a balcony and i don't think they have balconies,i know Island escape have a few but have you seen them?they look like they have been stuck on as a last minute thought!its a shame because we have been on I.E twice and enjoyed it except for the cabins.

Knightcruiser. Can't comment on the ones you name. If having a good balcony is an important part of your cruise experience I can only recommend P & O or Princess from my own experience. Good hunting.
