Carnival Sensation - can you go for longer than the 3-4 day trip they do?

Hi all, I'm new to the site and after a bit of advice. My girlfriend has recently started a contract on board the Carnival Sensation. I am hoping to go out on holiday and see her in June. However, as I am travelling alone I have a huge double occupancy to pay making it expensive! Making it even more expensive is the fact that the ship only does 3 & 4 day cruises, and as I want to go for a week or 2 I am presuming I will have to book 2 or 4 cruises?

Does anybody know of any ways around reducing the double occupancy cost? Or do they do full week bookings etc? I have checked their website but can't find any thing that shows you can go for a full week.

Any info you have about this or the ship itself will be graetfully appreciated.

    Cheers.

I will repost my answer to you from the Q&A site for starters:

Those Carnival 3/4 nighters can be the cheapest in the world if you look at the US travel agent websites, around $200 dollars per cruise, although you have chosen the most expensive month, June, with prices around $350. I can't help with the single occupancy issue but a flight booked well in advance to Orlando for Port Canaveral needn't be a major expense. Can't you find a friend to share?

I doubt you will find a way 'around' the single occupancy charge other than doubling up with friend or foe.

With 3/4 night cruises to do a 7 nighter you book both, it's called a 'Back to Back'. It's no big deal, many of us do it.
Don't worry you don't pack your bags and join the queue to get back onboard, there's just less of you at the pool bar for a couple of hours whilst they change passengers..........Wilba

You can book a back to back cruise say 1 for 4 days and 1 for 3 days.Try this US site.vacationstogo.com..........but remember that prices on any US website are exclusive of Taxes. But because a flight is involved perhaps better to use a UK site Cruisedot or Cruise1st.
At a wild guess incl flight I would say £799 will wrap it up for you.

Sorry I meant £999 and not£799.It is still early to take advantage of a 90 day ticker from the US.But a call is an 0800 number and is completly free.
