    Colourful Coasts Island Escape

Hi There, "Colourful Coasts Island Escape". Has anyone been on this cruise, and can you advise on which shore trips are worth going on, which are to be avoided etc. Thanks

    Hi Techno,
We are going on this on the 11th Dec.
from the feedback from people who have done this before the definitely recommend a ship's excursion in Agadir. (But not the 12 hour Marrakech one.)
In Funchal and Las Palmas they have a HOHO bus so you could see the cities yourself.
The only ship's trips we are definitely doing are in Agadir and the Fire Mountain one in Lanzarote.

Thanks for that, but I think I will have that day on board, it does not sound like my cup of tea from some of the things that I have read. I did the Fire Mountain earlier this year and that is worth seeing. I am looking forward to Madeira.

    Hi Barry,.

There are several good review over in the reviews section of here from people who have been in the last couple of months. And some have been aboard several times.

Alright the ship is old and does need refurbishing. All the Thomson's ships are of a similar age to her, early 1980's. She is an ex Royal Caribbean ship.

The cabins are not huge, but big enough for what you need and the ammount of time you spend in them. Beds comfortable. The shower toilet area was the same size on the more modern Royal Caribbean ship we were on in June.

the staff are really friendly and hard working in all departments. The food was good in both the |Island and Beachcomber restaurants. We enjoyed it so much that we didn't bother paying the extra for the Oasis speciality restaurant.

The entertainment was more Butlins than West End. But I have seen these same comments form reviews of more expensive lines.

Hi Barry have a look at the last post on here by Meller.
It's mainly about the smoking policy, but he's just returned and had a good time.
