You lucky devils. I would love to be able to go away like this for Christmas, but DW will not go. But as her dad is 80 in Feb. I can understand why.
I am determined to go one day though, just to try it for once.
I hope you will take piccies of your cabin for us Mrs. M.
Unlike most of the population I love looking at other peeps holiday pics

I can understand how your wife feels as this is the first time we have been away as I always had my mother with us at xmas but unfortunately she passed away and so it is sadness and happiness that I am going :o

    life is great :D

Yes, that it it will be how it it will be with us. All our other Parents have long gone. We've also got the dog who will be 14 in January. So i can't see her going before she goes.
I'm reading this back and it looks really selfish. But I'd love to have at least one Christmas away.

I have a similar problem, my daughter is unable to come with us, who is 22 and its our first christmas apart, so again its mixed for us. She still had a stocking as she loved still opening one on christmas morning with her little brother, so its quite sad for her but I am planning some surprises for her so hopefully she will be ok. It sounds like I am being selfish but we were desperate for a holiday and with the school being so strict over holidays its the only time we will get two weeks until April next year.

So..guilt feelings out the way, thanks for the tips, the weather is going to be preety mixed isnt it, with it being cooler in Spain?

Our 2 are 25 and 21 and still get a stocking with bits in. It's a shame you have to be apart at Christmas but plenty more Christmases to come for you to be together. You've got to sieze the opportunity while you can.
I tried to answer part of your weather question on your Christmas Carousal thread.
Not long now, all we need now is the tickets.

Thanks Berwyn, I notice you have had the call that your tickets are ready now so thats good news, hopefully ours wont be too long.

Another question I have thought, I notice that a lot of the half day trips are in the morning, leaving either 9am or even earlier, any tips on this, in relation to breakfast etc? Should be fun trying to get the kids up and out each morning for those!!

the Beachcomber is open 24 hours and they start serving continental breakfast early then get started onto the cooked. So you should have plenty of time
Last time we were in the Med and were doing the big all day trip ports, Sicily, Naples, Florence and Barcelona and Toulon and they were all early starters.
I know what you mean about getting the kids up, escpecially my 25 year old.
We're using this one as a relaxing one.
