Hi Sharon,
I've just looked in the proper Thomson's cruise brochure and it says the Kid's club is 3 to 11 years.

I agree with you totally Bosscat. Yes, youngsters are allowed to use our gym...but only in their own mini suite where the equipment is VERY carefully controlled and adapted for young, growing bodies. No young person under the age of sixteen should be allowed to use adult equipment unless under strict professional guidelines/control which, unless you are willing to pay the going rate for personal training, you won't get in any gym.
Oh Dear, another health & safety freak. Im ex Army PTI, a Football coach, Sailing Inst and have numerous other sports orientated qualifications, Ive taught kids as well as adults, the worse that can happen is he pulls a muscle or decides this is too much like hard work and gives up. If he wants too use the gym and hes allowed let him.
I agree with Morton and Boscat and I will add (as someone who has 2 gym memberships) that children over 16 are allowed in both my gyms HOWEVER yet again a gym surely is an adult space and once again why are we letting children into somewhere which should be adults only!!
Frankly I don't care if they crashed themselves under a pair of dumb bells as long as they are not in my gym!
With regard to unusable coins after a holiday, why is there not a central place at an airport or similar to donate to charity ?
You have received detailed replies to specific questions, so I'll try not to repeat previous comments.
There is no such thing as a typical cruise, because there are significant differences between the different cruise lines. And you must decide whether the itinerary goes to places you want to visit.
You should also consider in general terms, what type of holiday you prefer. Island Escape is designed to appeal to the UK package holiday market and the concept is similar to Ocean Village, which is "the cruise line for people who don't do cruises". The restaurant is buffet style and there is no need to wear formal clothes at mealtimes. You can purchase shore excursions at the ports of call and the overall package includes some entertainment.
Island Escape does not pretend to offer luxury cruising - and that is reflected in the price. However, you will probably be very happy, if your idea of an ideal family holiday is a traditional 3* or 4* hotel package in a Mediterranean or Canary Island resort. On the other hand, you might be disappointed, if you normally stay in 5* hotels and require formal dining with waiter service and cordon bleu food.
Incidentally, the price is competitive and I believe your package includes flights to and from Tenerife. A fly-cruise can be better than sailing from a UK port, because you will be able to spend the entire week in the Canary Islands - and escape the winter weather in the UK.
thank you all very much for the very helpful info
but on the other hand , please all cool off on the gym question !!
i do not wish a little sentence to cause such upset ........ if you think its a topic deserving more input ..then please feel free to start a new thread
i do not like confrontation , but will .......if forced![]()
please leave it there , it was simply a question , and it won't even probably be an issue , as there sounds like there is too many other things to keep us occupied , like eating , drinking , and sun tannin and entering the dancing competition to win our next free cruise :D
ok thank you .sorry for any concern ....but please not leave it at that or .........take it elsewhere THANK YOU
