Good for you Sharon, put your foot down with a firm hand.
Anyway back to more important matters. One of the cruisers just back yesterday had a great time and said the food was fantastic. As good as more expensive lines he'd sailed with.

    Electric Plug Adapters

    Hi Sharon,
I think i forgot about the plugs. You will need the American flat pin adapters for the sockets. We also take an extension lead with 4 sockets on it (normal Uk one) to plug into it to charge several things at once. Mobiles, Camera etc.

Thinking of mobiles, when the ship is in port if you use them in all ports except Agadir, Morocco you will be charged your usual mobile phone co.'s charges as for phoning from the E.U.
But while the ship is at sea it connects via satellite through the ships mast and this is very expensive.
When you get to each port it's best to turn them off and back on again and make sure you are connected to the local mobile company before using them

Sorry if I have bombarded you with a lot of info to take in in this and the previous posts. OOH!! my brain hurts :-)

    Go For it

No need to elaborate on whats has been said but can also vouch for Island Escape. Not the best cabins but great atmosphere. Like all cruise operators, their shore tours are rather over priced compared with booking privately or simply doing your own thing on public transport (which is usually very easy). With your numbers a taxi would would still work as better value but whatever you do, get outside the port before engaging one as those with port access will fleece you rotten. Otherwise (and apart from the price of bottled water being a bit naughty) no nasty surprises on drinks bills etc. My wife and I really like this ship warts and all.

    Hear Hear

We're with you Jules, we love this old lady. We much preferred being on her to the more modern, bigger Royal Caribbean ship we were on in june.
As far as excursion prices are concerned, the prices are about 40% cheaper than the American Cruise line.

    It's a pleasure Sharon,
You keep asking, there's always one of us that will find time to reply.
Either on here or Cruisecritic. There are several people over there who have just returned from the first of this winter's cruises.

Just rang the TA and our tickets have arrived:D.
Was getting worried with those just having been saying they had to pick them up at the airport. Also someone on the cruise after ours had already had theirs.
