Topic: Well Done Island Escape

Top marks to Thomsons in using "Island Escape" currently in Funchal Madeira to bring back all its passengers back to the Uk docking in Falmouth Thursday..In addition 300 extra spaces will be made available for non cruise customers of Thomsons stranded in Madeira.


P&O,Cunard,RCCL and the rest take note.

Excellent use of initiative from Thomsons. I should imagine it will save them loads of money too so great result all round.

Loads of happy customers too as those on Escape already get an extended cruise and no need to use airports on way home whilst those in land-based accommodation get a surprise cruise at the end of their holiday.

Hmmm- is this the only cruise ship to have 300 spaces not filled?
But well done Thomson, for both this and the Dream now in Palma and due to take land based holiday makers to Barcelona.

I hear TUI are also using one of their German ships to transport German passengers to Genoa where coach transport will be arranged to return them ~ nice to see a large company try something different!
