I'm sure you will appreciate what a huge job Thomson will have on their hands....first of all disembarking 1500 or so passengers in a strange port and having to do the custom formalities as they all came in from 'another country'....then cleaning the cabins and ship and then embarking another compliment of passengers with the security checks etc. it must be an absolute nightmare....plus the fact that the ship did not arrive until late morning....

I am sure alot of patience will be required and I am also sure that Thomson will be doing their best...they are known for their good organisation...

Thanks Morris, Dad has just phoned this minute to say they are on the ship! I hope they have a good trip, they met some people in the queue who have done the Island Escape twice before and have loved it so that was great to hear.
    thanks again

Oh good I'm glad they are now on board and am sure they will have a good time....we were sorely tempted by this itinerary especially as we live in cornwall and could have joined the ship easily....but unfortunately there were only flights back to Gatwick which would have been a nightmare for us on public transport !! plus we only had two days notice !!

    latest on Island Escape

Thought you'd like to know that the Island Ecape made it to Spain, but now has broken down in Coruna, something like the turbo charger has broken. Don't know how long they will be there. Still, my parents are having a good time and the ship seems nice with good food, hope they get it going soon!
