    Azamara Ships

We are considering booking a cruise on either Azamara Quest or Azamara Journey and I really know very little about this cruiseline or their ships.
Has anyone been on them please - and what did you think of them and the Azamara cruise experience as a whole?

    Hello Bella,

As a 'starter', click on this link for a thread on the subject:

    Would Azamara suit?

I am sure the Azamara fans on here will be along to give their views.

    Regards, Lizzie.

    Hi Bella,

Like you, I was undecided, but have taken the plunge and booked my first cruise with Celebrity's Azamara Quest.
I depart from Athens on 2nd. July (although I was somewhat dismayed that my outward flight leaves at 06:20, from Heathrow). Check-in time being 3 hours earlier, it means that I have to be at the airport by 3:00 a.m. !! - Not the best start to a cruise.
I shall be publishing my "report" - including details of various correspondence with both my travel agent and Celebrity, very soon after I return on 12th. July, so as they say "watch this space". I have been cruising for the past 53 years (I am now 65), so I may be somewhat critical; on the other hand, I shall give praise, if praise is due.

    Hope you can wait,

    Hi Peebee and Lizzie,
Thanks for the info - there really isn't a lot about Azamara Quest on most cruise websites - probably because it is a small and exclusive line.

We have bitten the bullet and booked anyway - and our T/A arranged a flight at 09:15 am, so that wasn't too bad. We will stay in a Heathrow hotel the night before. Just hope BA are not on strike!

We are visiting Rome, two days in Sorrento, Taormina, Malta, Menorca and Barcelona. I am really looking forward to trying a small ship now - usually I'm a big ship fan!

Azamara do seem a bit different from the mainstream - the paid grats and free wine is a bonus too! I am a bit concerned about the "resort elegant casual" dress code though - as you may have gathered - I do like to dress up! I hope they don't mind if I wear a bit of glitz in the evening! :D

Peebee, I will look forward to your report.
