Hi Neil. I'm no anorak on cruises yet but do lots of homework before a cruise and rely on people like yourself for invaluable info and tips.
Thanks, Jill
As soon as my cruise is booked I start on the list/s from medication, insurance, currency, passports and visas, and although my cruise is not until 2011 the taxi is booked, will book the hotel at Southampton in the new year, tried the De Vere on line but will only take bookings until November2010. Then clothing cleaned and new put in spare room check cases addresses phone numbers, book the excursons plus check cameras all this puts me in a great holiday mode .
Excellent organisation, Cornish Girl !
Aren't you tempted to wear a few items of clothing during 2010 ?
I could never leave a whole wardrobe of new clothes for all that time. The preparations are fun though , something to look forward to is important on dull days.

Yes, know that already.should have perhaps not use 'tips' but sound advice. I've got loads of sheets that I've copied from reviews and answers to my questions on all the ports of call on my cruise in Feb on Ocean Village in the Caribbean. As for the organisation of money, packing, airport parking etc- being a control freak, that all comes naturally. I do all the homework before hand because it's great to build your plans of what you want to do in each port and how to do it without relying on ships tours. It gives us a great sense of adventure.
