My OH has done the towel/pool chuck manouevre when really angry, but may I suggest his more measured and subtle trick : Arriving like you, back at the resort in the early hours to find all the beds covered with towels and books and neatly pushed into family groups round the (too few) parasols, we spent a pleasant half an hour rearranging all the towels, books and beds, mixing up the reading material and reassigning parasols . The next day we watched the entertainment from the safety of the bar - what fun we had!!! and totally free!!
I bet your entertainment was better than the hotels :D I would loved to have been there :D

don't want to work, just want to cruise.

What a great idea so simple and would be very effective every one would know where they stood or lay ,no more people bagging loungers for hours. but would the companies enforce it

    What's a 'book'?

It's a thing like a reserved table sign that you put on a sun bed to stop anybody using it when you are ashore:mad: they are also useful to swat fly’s with.:D

Friends recently returned from a trip to the Caribbean on Aurora and encountered this problem. A visit to the Pursers Desk elicited this response - 'the passengers get very angry if we remove their towels, etc'. As my friends said, what about those who want a sun bed - are they not supposed to be angry when sun beds are 'reserved'.

I thought P&O's literature was quite specific on this point so maybe they should also appoint sun bed bouncers!

    It's a myth!
I like staying in hotels full of Germans the food is better as they will not mess about complaining to each other they speak to the manager.
During the day they go to the beach in preference to the pool so you can get a sun bed.
Most respect rules are there for a reason.
    Signed Fritz

of course any Penguin Publishing book would suffice for an Antarctic cruise!
