Hi CG,
I have never been rude to Neil, I have no desire for a slanging match. Sometimes I agree with Neil's and other comments, sometimes I do not. The expression of one's opinion does not make it 'correct' or 'factual' its just an expression of opinion. I seek only to broaden the view that not all smokers, by default, are inconsiderate. Its not a slanging match or anything of the sort, more an attempt by the use of alternative situations to explain that such a view if flawed.
Vinny
Vinny Not for one minute would I ever suggest you were rude to Neil or anyone else, what I was trying to say, is the outcome will always be the same.
Phew, thanks for that - I was expecting to have to make a grovelling apology for 'outing' your place of residence. I'll do it anyway... Sorry, I went too far. :o My feeble excuse is that I had in mind recent posts saying how people gather information by putting two and two together. I did get four, but I shouldn't have said so.
Regards
Hi Cornish Girl
Okay I'll agree to differ on the perceived lack of respect.
Regarding starting interesting and varied topics though...
I've started 48 new topics on the forum, and several in the last couple of weeks. I've posted videos and more photos than anyone else (except perhaps for Aplmac). I even went down to Dover the other day to take photos of Disney Magic - especially for the forum.
But guess what? Topics that are not about smoking, tipping or pseudonyms disappear without trace almost immediately. Sometimes I wonder why I bothered (I'm not blaming anyone or looking for sympathy - that's just how it is).
I'll keep trying not to flog dead horses though! ;)
Regards
Dave,
I held back when I read what I did about where someone lived. I felt that it was saying something without permission and as it was you got away with it but it is a salutary warning that we ought not to give away or even speculate about something as personal as that on an open web site such as this.
I am glad that it was sort of resolved on this occasion but I would be more than unhappy if the same happened to me. .......Neil
There are three reasons why I have stayed quiet on this thread, one is that I have had other things to do this morning, secondly it probably takes me three times as long to read items, because of my dyslexia, than the average person and there were a few pages to get through here and lastly I have very little to say about excessive drinking and I didn't want to pull smoking into yet another thread, I thought that would be detrimental to the theme of this one. ....Neil
gosh......think I need a stiff vodka to give me courage to post on this thread
but..... I suffer with asthma, and now find it a much more pleasant evening when I dont have to reach for my inhaler because of smoke, which Ive never had to do from someone drinking a glass of wine or two....lol (keeping it light hearted here)
Lesser of two evils... smell of cigarette smoke driffting along the beach or the lager louts laid behind you?
if anyone can answer this question...why does smoke always head towards the none smoker?? no matter where you stand?
Im not addicted to smoking or alcohol, but addicted to chocolate.....before the rumblings of extra weight arrise for airlines im a size 10/12 so next addiction please..lol
