Service charges/tipping should always , always be optional. Just adding it up under another name is wrong (IMHO).

Pardon me? "nothing to moan about?" Is this what you think discussing the way's of the "service industry" is?

Sometimes there is no reasoning a differing point with some people.

Sorry to get on my high horse here but there really is nothing to discuss that hasn't been covered a million times before.

Which is a whole lot different to my first comment.

Now the only way forward is to make a change. If no mention of tips, gratuities, service charge was ever made again and they charged slightly more for the cruise, people would assume that cruise lines had abolished tipping.

Now wouldn't that be better.........Wilba
