QUOTE:
One of the upsides AND downsides to a cruise are your fellow passengers, to some extent they can make or break your experience, here are a few annoying passengers traits that I have come across:
· The pusher inners – those who can’t be bothered to queue and simply push in.
· The ten bob millionaires – those who brag about having been on ‘umpteen’ cruises and being soooo lardy dar.
· The loud mouthed critics – those who openly and loudly broadcast their disdain for things that are perfectly fine to most other people.
· The talkers – those who talk through the shows oblivious to the fact that other people are trying to watch them.
· The walkers – those who walk through the show lounge during performances.
· The latecomers – those who come into the show lounge very late (after the performance has started) then take the only available seats straight in front of you, thus blocking your view.
· The sunbed hoggers – those who put towels on sunbeds then ****** off on trips for the day.
· The food wasters – those who pile up their plates to the max then leave half of it.
· The noisy bedroom buddies – those who haven’t realised or have forgotten that the walls between cabins are VERY thin and that a normal conversation, snoring, giggling and canoodling is perfectly audible next door (this is my Thomson Cruise Ship experience).
· The ignoramuses – those who think they are above saying please and thank you to the staff and fellow passengers.
· The power walkers – those who strut energetically around deck making the rest of the passengers feel guilty.
· The lift morons – those who press the both call buttons on the lift when they only want to go in one direction, thus disrupting other peoples journeys, and those who press the call button when your lift doors are open (but the lift is full) further delaying the lift doors closing.
Any more?
To be honest, if you find power walkers "annoying" then I think that is rather sad. Likewise, if you consider certain individuals behaviour in lifts "moronic" then I think that is sad too. There is a solution.......use the stairwells instead.
Having just returned from a rather excellent cruise, I now realise how "precious" certain individuals are and how the slightest of traits, behaviour or attitude can send them into a flat tailspin. Your list reinforces that notion.
Frankly, I was having too much of a good time to really let other's behaviour interfere with my enjoyment. Our expectations were totally exceeded, we also expected to experience the full UK social strata (which we did) and made the necessary allowances.
We met some amazing people (Freedom dining) and had a truly wonderful time. Will we be going back? Most certainly. Life isn't always perfect, and therefore neither is cruising. Life really is too short to be "concerned" by trivialities!
