More smoking areas on cunard
Dont want to start a war on here but just wanted to report that having been on Queen Vic for the first time since the smoking ban in the casino could not help but notice how quiet the casino and the casino bar were since last year when smoking was still allowed there. It used to be a very busy, sociable bar where it was really difficult to get a seat but now every time we passed night or day it was empty - most people we saw at the bar was 2 and only one gaming table ever had any customers! Anyway were told by one of the barmen that they are going to take out some of the slot machines and make a smoking room because of the fall in revenue due to the ban. I then realised that although smoking had been banned in more inside spaces there were in fact a lot more outside spaces to smoke. The whole of one side of Deck 10 is now smoking (although often filled with no smokers taking up the chairs if the sun was out and then moaning if my husband dared to light up and use the ashtray provided). Plus one side of Deck 3 where lovely teak steamer chairs are provided for smokers as well as the cigar lounge, cabins and balconies. This won't please everyone but if you want to smoke on a cruise then Cunard are trying to help.

Thanks for that. We're thinking about trying Queen Victoria next year and that's a big plus point!

Dave, try Princess instead, we've not used any Cunard ship since the ban.
Believe it or not, Princess actually have "inside" bars where you can smoke in peace.
Wonder how many others have jumped Cunard ships because of their anti-smoking policy?
