have her check with her GP re her ear problem. there are a few remedies/precautions she could takke prior to flying. this would open up her cruise options. here are a couple of websites for you too look up re flying and ear problems, hope they help.

I did a solo cruise with Shearings on MV Discovery in August and there was no single supplement. Shearings chartered Discovery so perhaps that is why there was no charge. We sailed from Harwich to the Baltics and it was wonderful.
