Topic: dress code for captains dinner on the destiny

I am going on the destiny for the first time next week and my husband wont take his suit for the captains dinner, he will wear a shirt and tie but wont take a jacket, will he stand out like a sore thumb or will other men have just a shirt and tie without a jacket, also he wants to wear just a shirt and trousers without the tie on the rest of the evenings will this be acceptable

In my experience the Destiny is pretty informal and trousers and a shirt are fine for any night apart from the one night of the week that you are enquiring about.

As I recall, every man in the restaurant was at least in a suit and tie with many in DJs. Sore thumb does spring to mind.

If I were you I would pack a jacket anyway and take it from there on the night.
