Its true its what you bring to the "Table"

I agree its what we are like that can have a big effect on our dining companions...I have had a mixed selection and have found after a bottle of wine...we all get on...
If friends want to get you a gift I always tell them to send a bottle to the room, wine or bubbly and then I take it to the resturant, main dining room or specialality resturants ....I just give it to the winw waiter and get it chilled if required...no charge and save on the bar bills......
Once we was on a table with very well to do people who really new what expensive wines to order and it was "oh you must try this" when I looked at the £80 per bottle I thought oh No... we had others on the table the same as us.......but friends had sent 5 bottles of very expensive bubbly ( i dont really know brands, but the waiters eyes gave it a way) I used to bring one down each night have it chilled and then the waiter would bring it out and i would hare with us poor folk..the look on the "well to dos after the fith night...........its good to have friends........Ciao Rocky

:DOur first ever cruise was to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary - On the actual night we had rough seas and the dining room was half empty.

We shared our celebration cake with two gentlemen who's wives had stayed in there cabins. Had a good laugh, excellent service and a very pleasant evening!

The following evening the the gents where joined by there wives and introduced them! One lady asked "Which anniversary we where celebrating" and I told them "25"

Oh! Is that all! For which I was quite hurt, but quickly recovered and replied "I'm terribly sorry madam, but I'm a lot younger than you!:

The guys couldn't keep straight faces and the lady was quiet for the rest of the cruise!

I was married at 18 and my DH is 13 years older than me!

    That is so so funny.
Reminded me of a stiry when Donna, Sue and i went on a girlie cruise.
We had a ball, the only problem was that Donna had a problem, meaning she had to "go" all the time.
One time she didnt make it. It was everywhere all over the cabin, and it had a very bad odour.
We moved to a different cabin, and it happened again.
    The another cabin.
Out dining companions were told by us that it was faulty plumbing.
Oh what a laugh we had that cruise.
