Hi Castle, nice chat, you do'nt sound like a Ladies Hairdresser somehow so come out with it!!Which one are you??.By the way we have never actually had any of the occupations mentioned in our post on our tables.Amongst our most interesting fellow diners have beenMiss Great Britain 1953(still a pretty lady) and a professional Toastmaster, but the most memorable for me was a chap who was the numberone or two Karate Master in G.B. apublished author on the same subject, having spent many years in Japan. He was also theAlbanian Consul for the U.K.,knew the Albanian President as a personal friend, had done numerous Charity Convoys to Eastern Europe had been featured on This is Your Life, been awarded theM.B.E. ;he had a Chekoslovakian girl friend/partner who was gorgeous in every way( despite being some 30yrs. his junior). He was also an extremely nice man and modest too as most of the above information came to me ,not from his own lips, but from various sources upon my return home. That was aboard aFred Olsen cruise by the way.Cheers Stan.

Hi we have cruised a few times and really enjoy joining (and getting to know)interesting people on large tables. This time (Nov 22nd Panama Canal cannae wait) we are on a table of 10.

As for occupations ,well I normally bide my time and when asked smile and say
    "Funeral Arranger"

it has many different reactions but then the(many and varied) questions start ha ha

    The Perfect Table

I went on a mini cruise on Queen Victoria with my son. He is 34, I am 62. Our table companions were a single man in his early 30s, a single woman of around my age and a couple who were friends of hers. These things don't happen by chance. Someone at Cunard must have matched us up. We all got on like a house on fire, making meal times the highlight of the evening.

Stan, thanks for the compliment but you have got it mainly wrong and partially right. :D

The only one I can really put a claim to is hairdresser (40+ years) but can put a partial claim to a couple of others. I am not a trained solicitor but have for many years represented people in court (and out of it) as an, unpaid, consumer advisor. I have also written some (small) books and magazine articles but am not a journalist. Amongst various other things I have also taught maths and bridge. This may sound quite a lot but my wife has a larger number of specialities to her name - and she's a lovely person, to boot!!!!

Hi Jindru, table for 10 is o.k. unless you are a bit deaf,I SAID A BIT DEAF.We have a friend who is a Moneylender(sorry credit facilitator),although he doesn't normally tell any one.We were ashore in Lisbon looking at shoes in a shoeshop.Afellow passenger was also in there trying some shoes on, which he decided to buy. Unfortunately, he had forgotten his wallet.Recognising us as fellow cruisers,he asked my friend if he could lend him £30,which my friend promptly did exchanging cabin numbers. The gent kindly returned the money that evening.that's the only time he has ever done a loan interest free, so you can see sometimes secrecy can be costly.Cheers Stan.
