As you can see Eilat from the ship the trip is not difficult to do.It's just whether people are happy to get a taxi to the border of Israel and then another taxi in Israel and are happy that when they come back there will be a taxi at the border in Jordan to take them to or near to the port - I suspect there will be as this sort of journey must be made frequently by some people. I would suggest doing this trip on the first day in Aqaba so if there is a hitch you could even just about walk it back to the ship - seriously !!!
