    "Tell me something:
isn't it about time that the larger cruise ships started going nuclear?
    Like larger aircraft carriers?
They're big enough to do it. Why isn't OASIS nuclear powered??
Sure would get rid of the hassle of fuel surcharges!"

What an excellent idea! Give the pirates a worth while target to hold to ransome. Have you any idea how much it costs to build a nulclear powered vessel? What about the radiation risk? What about dealing with the nuclear waste? What about the ports that wouldn't let a nuclear powered ship anywhere near?

As I said in my earlier post, about the jumbo jet that flies you there and back, aircraft are major polluters, after 9/11 in the states, when all planes were grounded for a while, the lack of planes even in that short period, changed their climate !! I have also read somewhere that all of the worlds shipping combined causes twenty five percent of the worlds pollution,,I have booked my next cruise on the Cutty Sark !! we wont go far, but at least we will be green, ( unless it catches fire again !! )
I believe it has been mentioned that the proposed 12 day strike by BA staff is a boost to the 'green lobby'. Not to good for anyone expecting to join a cruise for Christmas though.

Those BA cabin staff dont know when they are well off, they already earn much more than staff on rival airlines, serve the lot of them right if BA go bust, when they have no job, and have to go to the rivals for about 50% of their current pay they might regret their stupid strike.
