You can even do whale watch tours out of Victoria Harbour, my crew from Barbados did not listen to us about dressing with a breaker or sweater and almost froze themselves from the spray and day. Course colours of our waters are not a blue as the Caribbean.
Glad you enjoyed Painter Lodge, did you also do any fishing at the lodge
Holland America is a good company and the new two week tours are a bonus better in my mind than having to fly one way back from Anchourage.

I love Alaska. I am also a real true fan of Holland America. I sailed on HA for years but in a working capacity. Their ships were always stunning and the service second to none. I sailed to Alaska 22 times in one season on the Statedam. I will go back again in the near future to Alaska as I have never been with my husabd so we must do it! I loved all the ports of call and I loved sitting on deck in an evening watching the wild life and it never went dark in June. We had many a happy time in The red Dog Saloon in Juneau. The sawdust on the floor and the music and the long bar where the bartender would place the beer on the bar and push to slide along to the other end, just as Wyatt Earp did in the movies. His gun (W.E.) is in the Red Dog salon so they say! He lost it in poker game so legend as it.
Grizzly Bear Viewing Tours at Knight Inlet Lodge, Glendale Cove, BC, Canada
I live here and was not aware of this location, looks like you had a great time.
Yes the Red Dog Saloon is something else
