What a lovely experience. Hope to do Alaska one day. When in St Lucia we seen a pod of pilot whales. Fantastic as they were very close to the boat. Your whales are much bigger. Thanks for sharing it with us. Is June the best to see them in Alaska?

What a fantastic video. Made me think we were still there. We did the Alaska trip in May and also saw lots of whales - even saw one breach (jump out of the water), that was in Juneau.

Actually, all along the Inside Passage you can see Orcas (Whales ) not restricted to Juneau.

I always wanted to do Alaska but my wife and i Did not want to be on a plane for 91/2 hours but we bit the bullet as it was the only way we were going to do it. It was a trip of a lifetime and seeing the Orcas was a bonus. The whole experience was just fantastic. The flight even seemed to go by quick also. We did the new 2 week round trip from Seattle - Seattle on Holland America.

What did you think of Holland America? We love them but they seem to get a bit of a bashing here.
We have cruised out of Vancouver a few times with them but not Seattle.
