    Favourite cruise line and/or ship

Not sure whether this has been done before but we currently have no allegiance to any cruise line or ship and are experimenting with lines, size ships, etc.

I'd be very interested to know what everyone's favourite cruise line is and why.

Our favourite so far has been Ocean Village with Fred Olsen second place (a bit of a contrast, I know). Least favourite so far has been MSC.

My favorite is the one that gives me the best deal to take me to the destinations I want to see ;)
Unless a Princess ship is doing the same itenary then I don't mind paying a bit more as I like their style

    Hmm...difficult one, H.A.
We've enjoyed all cruise lines and ships for different reasons, even down to Louis for extra special destinations- sometimes 2 small Greek islands per day.
The only ship we've repeated twice was NCL Jade, and that was because of the immense freedom from timed meals.
We're going to repeat Thomson Celebration next year....because the Red Sea in winter was the break we needed this snowy year, and the entertainment was amazing.
We'll probably repeat Ventura sometime, because she gave us that big ship feel we enjoy- on occasion.
We'd like to try one of the small ships to Iceland/ Greenland, with lots of guest speakers about the sites.
And we'll probably try Epic- just to check her out!
So- don't really know right now- enjoyed them all, with a bias to Celebration.
    Jo.

I'd love to contribute but my experience of different cruise lines is limited - that's why I keep banging on about Fred Olsen! :o

I've only been on 2. OV and Jewel of the Seas (RCCL). We loved them both.

I'm not sure I have a favourite. All the lines that I have been on have good points and bad points. I'd have to mix and match to create a favourite.

However my favourite ship is the Queen Mary 2.

    Difficult choice

I have been on all Fred Olsen ships and have been on Ocean Village. Fred Olsen is the outright favourite. But in April I will be on the Voyager of the Seas and may have a different answer in May.

Good for you. I enjoy the contrast between big modern ships (RCI etc.) and older classic ships (Olsen, Thomson etc.)

However I must say the 'Voyager' class, being 'standard' are much busier than the biggest 'Celebrity' ships and Queen Mary 2, being 'premium' products. I do love the RCI 'Royal Prom' though.

    Favourite Cruise Line

My wife and I enjoyed our first cruise on the Canberra and fell head over heels with the whole cruise thing and have ever since been fans of P&O and will become a Gold Portunus Club member during Arcadia's world cruise next year. However, having said that, we sailed with Fred Olsen (Black Prince) on an Adriatic Cruise and had one of our most enjoyable holidays ever. We will certainley give them another go when time and money allow. Cunard is the only other company we have sailed with and it was a short cruise on the QE2 to celebrate our 25th wedding Anniversary. Sadly the experience was not what we expected.

I hope you find what works for you and enjoy the experince.
