does anyone know if you can buy a drinks package on NCL? Also can you confirm individual prices if not? eg for a glass of wine and bottle of beer. If anyone had a link to a menu of prices that would be great.

just got back today from NCL Jade canaries christmas cruise, good food and entertainment but the drinks are pricey. You can buy a wine package but it's not really a good deal.It depends what you want, there is a soda package for about $100 unlimited soda on tap. beer best value is the pint at $6.84 or buy 5 bottles get one free which works out at about $30.best value wine is the house white ( a nice chardonnay) or red (merlot) which come out at about $24. (Always buy the bottle not by the glass, you can then take the rest to your stateroom to have another time)remember there is a hefty service tax added on to everything you buy on board plus when sailing in Spanish waters they are now adding on another 8% VAT: hope this is helpful to you. best advice if you want to drink water is to take a bottle with you and then fill it up in the buffet or from the water cooler in the gym.

It's 2 years since we were on Jade, but there was an occasion when we asked for a glass of wine each, and the waiter insisted we'd ordered the bottle....we were too embarrased to argue, but the bottle he'd opened cost $60 plus 15%. We were very cautious after that.
Filling water bottles at the outlets is discouraged, because of the contamination....it's the same excellent water in your cabin. Try letting it settle in your fridge for an hour...and if you don't want to be charged by accidently moving things in there, ask for the mini bar to be cleared by your steward.
Our first cruise with NCL to St Petersburg was really outstanding but the "Jade" was push, push in your face to buy a drink then poor service waiting for the waiter to return.
Free downgrade that we did not want as we spent a lot of time finding the inside cabin in the right location.
The only good thing about NCL is their spars are in my opionion the best at sea
Still we voted with our feet, they would need to guarantee not to upgrade to get back in my good books :D
