Topic: Looking for a Cruise Buddy in 2010?

The cost of a single supplement for a solo traveller can be up to 100% of the ticket price. Now a number of cruise lines used to offer a Cruise Buddy system where independent travellers would be paired up with members of the same sex so that they could cabin share, and hence keep the cost down. I am not aware of any such schemes still in existence, if you do - post them here!

I believe they have reduced single supplements to 30% from December 1st -whether as an act of generosity or desperation I'm not sure:D

All of a sudden cruise companies want singles ,too many beds too fill ,too many new and big-big ships.

I have just booked a K B grade cabin on Artimis for Nov this year for an amazing price! P & O have an offer for past customers of no single supplement for this cruise. Few cabins left so you'll have to be quick!

I booked with 1st4cruising and paid just £1255 for a twin cabin for single use including flights and transfers etc. The offer doesn't seem to appear on any web site.. I actually found it by pure luck! If you go to 1st4cruising (0844 871 5917) ask for Michelle but she did say the price could change if I got a friend to join me as I negotiated to skin! I believe it is a deal for P & O previous clients.

Hi I just saw a mesage on another site that MSC have a range of options for cruises in October - December with no single supplement, seems to good to be true but I will check it out!

I agree! I am interested in a variety of cruise trips in 2010, although I must admit I would like to use Celebrity where possible! As a frequent cruiser, our chances of being upgraded are better with them! If you are interested in "talking" further, let me know and I will send an email address.
