well your details are safe & that what i posted was a small part of the senders address that appeared when i did a dummy run so it looks like someones details are locked in to the reply form.

    Help us fix it?

I have tried this with a few different browsers and not seen this happen?
Could I ask what browser you use - Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari?
Had the question been answered before or were you to be the first?
Were you on a public computer e.g. in a library or at home on your own.

Thanks for your patience but this is all very important.

I've just posted a reply to a question and it was OK in the sense that there were no other poster's details on the form, however, it had wiped out my form so I had to enter all my details again. Sometimes it does this and sometimes it doesn't, a bit annoying!

We have checked the code and we are pretty certain that it does not automatically fill in any details.

What we think may be happening is that the web browser is autocompleting the form (filling in the boxes for you) based upon what was done on the same computer before. See this article on staying safe online:

May I ask who you are? Two posts, both on a techie subject.
Are you on staff and have I missed your introduction?

It seems it was an intermitant problem that not only I could see but also others. I use Firefox and it was on my home computer so no-one else would have used it to reply to a question. The question had not been answered at all, I myself did not proceed with my answer as I did not want to take the chance of it retaining my details for all to see.

I tried to go back a few questions to see if I could track down the person who's details I could clearly see (Email address and everything) . I remember it was a lady called Julia and was from Stourbridge?
