If you go with 'that' company make sure you are getting everything you 'think' you are getting, i.e. transfers, so called free car hire etc.

There have been many complaints on the Q&A section of unseen additional costs.

    Caveat Emptor.
Agree with Wilba, one of the main complaints I have read about is the inconvenient flights and flight times often indirect with long waits.

Thanks for this. I enjoy the planning bit but as you say a bit more risk.

There was a great offer from Virgin for this November, a week Caribbean cruise and a week in Orlando £799 pp including flights. Unbelievable price if you can go in November. Sadly we can't due to grandchildren's school holidays.

Worth keeping an eye out for next year. Thanks again.

Thanks Wilba & Bradbury. I noticed Virgin put very little info on their website offers. You have to ring to get more info and to book. That made me a bit cautious I like to see all the info in black & white first!

You do seem to get cheap flights this way, when I priced things separately it worked out expensive but as you say nned to see the fine detail about times, transfers etc.

    Thanks again for your advice.

We booked our last cruise out of Florida five weeks before sailing and got an excellent deal. Florida is the best place for late bookings as there are so many cruise lines using the various ports.
Tampa, Port Everglades, Miami, Port Canaveral...
Can't help you on the teenager scene as we are now teenage free.

You don't say where in Florida you are flying to, but if to Orlando then I would take the Freedom of the Seas ( Royal Caribbean) ship from Port Canaveral for 7 nights down to the Eastern Caribbean. You and your teenagers should love it. If they like the Flowrider, Ice skating, wall climbing, all kinds of sports and teen clubs they should really enjoy themselves..
If you are flying into Miami, then the Liberty of the Seas is her identical twin, or from Ft Lauderdale, the brand new,and $$$ ship Oasis of the Seas.
Do some reading of reviews, and see what you think. Price depends on cabin grade but needless to say school vacation time the prices are always the highest..

Thanks for the info, we are flying into Sanford and will be stopping in a villa in the Orlando area for the 2 weeks before or after the cruise.

Don't forget that Tampa is only two and a half hour drive at the most from Orlando and F.L is about four and a half. I still say Florida is the best place for late bookings although, we book out of school holidays. Depends how picky you are on the ship/line.

The only cruises out of Tampa next summer are on Carnival Inspiration or Legend. I wouldn't recommend either one. RCCL Freedom of the Seas from Port Canaveral would be his best option since he is so close in Orlando..
