    Mini cruises from Florida!

Are you off on holiday to Florida?
If so why not break up your land based holiday with a 3 night mini cruise to the Bahamas?

These are a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando/Miami and spend a few days relaxing with great food!

3 night mini cruise with Royal Caribbean start from only £179 per person, this includes all your food, taxes and gratuities!
They depart from either Port Canaveral or Miami and sail to the Bahamas.
£179 is based upon the 12th November 2010.

If you would like me to look into any particular dates that will fit into your holiday just let me know!

Sorry to be pedantic Emma, but did you mean 'off' instead of 'of'.

    Talk about coincidences Emma.
Just reading your piece about mini cruises from Florida, phone rang and I was told 'Congratulations you have just been awarded a free cruise to the Bahamas. Just press 9 and you will be connected to one of our travel specialists'
I have not had any of these calls for yonks!
Will you please advertise cheap mini cruises from the UK? :D:D:D:D

These 'cheapies' are great if you happen to be out there on hols or doing another cruise, but flights UK to Miami or Orlando (for Port Canaveral) are around £500+ on an Indirect flight which suddenly makes it hardly worthwhile.

We went to Florida for a family holiday in a villa in Kissimmee. Spent 11 days in the villa doing Disney and the water parks then finished off by driving to Miami with a night in a hotel followed by a 4 night cruise. It was a great way to finish off the holiday. Once you're there, these cruises are really cheap.

Just on a practical note, it's little if any extra cost to fly in to Orlando and out of Miami and you can pick up a hire car at Orlando Airport and drop it off at Miami.

Have been thinking about a cruise and stay in Florida and had a look at some Virgin offers for next year. Did you book the cruise separate to the Orlando holiday?

I would stick with Royal Caribbean for the short cruises, either out of Port Canaveral, South Florida or Tampa.. A much better product for bargain prices.

If you go with 'that' company make sure you are getting everything you 'think' you are getting, i.e. transfers, so called free car hire etc.

There have been many complaints on the Q&A section of unseen additional costs.

    Caveat Emptor.

We booked everything separately, deposit on villa, flights as soon as they were released (11 months before the holiday), car hire, hotel in Miami and the cruise. My wife and daughters took great pleasure with the research and planning and even booked Christmas Day Lunch.

You have to realise that there is more risk doing your own thing and items such as flights have to be paid for when booked. There are lots of packages available if you want to go for the convenience and protection. Whatever you decide to do, it's a great holiday and I hope you enjoy it.
