These offers are quite seasonal, right now they will just be handling people who want to grab their 'favourite stateroom' or early booking discounts. I thought I saw free kids places being offered around early autumn last year for these routes and again in January, but that's just from my memory.....

Hi,
I've been trying to find this out for the QE and have just had a phone call from Thomas Cook (Wigan) confirming which ones for me (Aug 2nd and Aug 14th). They also said there were 7 on the QM2 so you should be able to find out which ones via your local TA.
Cheers
Andy

Thanks so much for providing this most valuable information ! We've been waiting for that for months now...
The cruise of our interest is this one:
Quote:
M124A 20 Sep – 14 Oct 24 £2,949 – £30,399
Southampton • Cruising the Atlantic Ocean • New York • Newport, Rhode IslandA • Boston, Massachusetts •
Bar Harbor, MaineA • Halifax, Nova Scotia • Cruising the Atlantic Ocean • Québec, CanadaO • Cruising the Atlantic Ocean • New York • Cruising the Atlantic Ocean • Southampton
|
The only TA offering this right now online is "gillscruise" in the UK.
In Germany I've tried all the very best to get our online-agent to do a reservation on that cruise (of course for "early-bird" rates), but even though he tired, the German Cunard-agency insists on the fact, that the 2011-cruises (after end of March 2011) are not possible to book neither in the UK nor the US before April 26, 2010.
The person at Gillscruise though provided a clear offer (price) for that cruise, but needs a local UK-address for being allowed to book the cruise for us - which of course we don't have.
Somehow a bit unfair, isn't it?

Outch..... Ash on my head, but a ton of it....
how do we say ? Whoever is able to read the written word has clear benefits....
on the flyer published, it is clearly stated, that bookings for world club members is possible from April 26, 2010 01:00pm (I guess, that means 13:00 right?).....
Anyhow, God Friday seems to enlight my mind

Hi Millis. I too am very anxious to get on this cruise and in a particular stateroom.Cruise.co, this sites owners also will give you a price for a selection of grades, net of the 5% Cunard past passenger discount and their own 10%. I use two of their reps. If you would like to leave your email by private message to me I will forward my quote to you. For me the highlight will be having breakfast in the Chateau Frontenac while overlooking the QM2"

Thank you for your offer, but I'm sure, I would still have to stay with the German agency, due to legal rights (in case anything goes wrong...) But to have at least a base for the discussion, why not....
I just read to my husband your "future-view" of the breakfast in the Chateau.... a shame you couldn't see his big grin on his face... just the thought of it doesn't let him relax... what a toothpaste-smile.... YEAH! It sure is a goal as one of the biggest highlight...
So, you even want a particular stateroom? Could be a bit of a challenge. Keep our fingers crossed for that! Please keep us updated, if it worked out for you.
We won't have that high demands... only a bigger selection among the cabins of the "cheapest" category (inside-no view) would be just fine for us.
So, let's hope the best for all of us.

I actioned my emails prior to logging onto the Forum. You therefore have the answers I promised. Having seen this post I do not consider you will have any problem. I know Tina will be very helpfull. Incidentally, the last time I had breakfast at the Chateau Frontenac was in 1975 when I was serving on the Aircraft Carrier HMS Hermes. I have never forgotten the experience. I shall no doubt look forward to meeting you on the QM2.
