    2011 - The Best? The Worst? & 2012?

    Only another few days to 2012.

    So, what was your absolute highlight for 2011?

    What are you glad to see the back of?

    What are your hopes for 2012?

    Hi Lizzie,

    Lost Dad in March and Mum on Dec 17th. All of 2012 should be a highlight, but my Father-in-law has just been diagnosed with Cancer!

    However they have all had relatively long lives, so it is not a tragedy as such. I am just grateful that I have had their company for so long.

    Hi Malcolm, 17th December is our Wedding Anniversary, but sadly the 9/12 & 30/12 are the dates my Parents died. But, as you rightly say, we were so lucky to have them around for so long!

    So, onwards and upwards, & how can we 'honour them' in 2012??

    Discovered Cunard and the Victoria.

    2011 worst? None. 2010 was my awful year.

    2012...looks like a belter so far.

    2011 - The Birth of our daugter Mai on Oct 20th
    2010 was not a good one for us at all!

    2012 - Hope we can build on the Joys of 2011!

    Yes, our really bad year in the village was 2010.....so 2011 was bound to be better.
    The absolute highlight was going to Venice with Liz, Harrogate.....the sail in alone made our year.
    My worst bit has been the continual weight increase since cutting back the smokes- since being diagnosed with a low thyroid, at least that's stopped, and I'm slowly reducing again.
    Next year is double Norway!!!!

    Worst year 2010 wife had a stroke and complications .
    2011 wife well enough to travel so Cruise on Eclipse meet friends we sailed with before had a great time.
    2012 Golden wedding to Celebrate cruise already booked.

    The best--- September 2011 new granddaughter Ava she's wonderful!!

    The worst---- May 2011 badly damaged my eye again!

    2011 was a very bad year regarding the number of friends deaths.

    2012 let's all hope for healthy and peaceful year here and around the world.CG
