    Stan needs help!!!

In July I am honoured to be the "Best Man" at a good friend's second marriage.(my 4th.time as a best man)For their honeymoon, they are embarking on the Destiny, which will also be their "Maiden cruise"(although I doubt the bride will be a maiden by then)As part of my gift to them I would like to arrange with Thomsons, for them to enjoy a" special experience" during their stay onboard! I am looking for ideas beyond the usual...flowers in the cabin, bottle of Moet, singing Happy Birthday kind of thing. Can any of you experienced cruisers come up with any ideas ,which are feasable and different??Thanks..Stan;)

Stan, what about a spa treatment for both of them, something like a massage taken at the same time, followed by dinner in the cabin with chocolate dipped strawberries and a bottle of Champagne paid for by you. Could you prepay for a portrait for them? Anything you do will be lovely for themCarol

Is there perhaps something you could pre arrange for them at one of the ports of call. I dont know what ports they might be visiting, but I was thinking along the lines of it Venice - a romantic Gondola Ride or Naples - a romantic meal at a top class hotel in Capri.

In that case Stan, Carol's suggestion of the spa treat sounds perfect.

Hi Stan, if you go onto Thomson.co.uk/cruise, type in the search bar, wedding, then choose first option on that page, there is an article on honeymoons and a number, which i was unsure about printing. They can possibly give you some ideas to think about.

Whatever you choose, I think it's a really nice gesture.
Once when we arrived at an Italian port (can't remember which one) and there were 2 girls dressed in a national costume holding a banner with "Congratulations x and y on your wedding" - of course you'd have to be out going and not feel embarassed by such things.

Thanks for that, but difficult to arrange Ithink;but I like it.The embarassment would not be a problem for him if he manages to survive my "best man's speech"His surname is Bray and his nickname was "Donkey" at school.mmmmm now what on earth can I say about a man with the nickname like that that could possibly embarass him??????? Kind regards Stan;)
