Whilst I'm fascinated by the Titanic, Fred Olsen's cruises to mark the anniversary of its sinking leave me feeling a bit queasy, to be honest.

I wonder if Fred Olsen has any more such cruises in mind - up and down the Thames over the spot where the Marchioness was sunk by that dredger, perhaps? Or across the channel to where the Herald of Free Enterprise capsized.

    .
I better not tell the OH she would want to do this one.

Favourite film of all time was 'A Night to Remember' the original Titanic film, dont know how many times we have watched it.

    Hi Dave
I think "A Night to Remember" was better than James Cameron's "Titanic" ;) but much as I love Fred Olsen I would not tempt fate with this trip.
The nearest to an iceberg I will ever get is the salad counter at Tesco. :D

    Hi Tigger

It definately was far better than James Cameron's version which to my mind was a love story and the Titanic was in the
background for most of the film.

Kenneth Moore played the second officer in the original 1958 film, and was outstanding in the part - will have to watch it again
when it's repeated as OH had it on video tape, and we no longer have a video player.....

    Regards David

Yeah, Dave, "Titanic" was too soppy and emotional. "A Night To Remember" was interesting and more factual.
You should get Sky+. Easier to work than a video anyway. ;)

Agreed, but I think Olsen is just fulfilling a demand. I bet that this theme cruise will be very popular.
