Having just got back from a long haul Caribbean cruise I was looking around for further cruises, but much closer to home.
I do like a bit of culture and it is a long time since I have been to Greece and Italy and I saw this deal which appeals to me, which goes from Venice to Athens.
So fly to Venice board the MV Aegean Odyssey have a little time to sightsee in Venice then sail to Athens were you have a couple of nights in a hotel before returning home. The joys of this sailing is that the ship transits the Corinth Canal, not many ships can do this now and I told it is impressive with the high stone walls either side of the ship.
There is a choice of dates, 30th April or 21st September with prices staring from £1845.
Just to go through the Corinth Canal this must be worth doing! What do you think?
