Sailed on Celebrity Infinity December 2006 from Valparaiso-Buenos Aires. Weather was excellent in Santiago (3 days precruise before joining ship at Valparaiso - recommended and enjoyed although 2 days probably would have been enough). Weather and seas were probably better than might have been expected. No really bad weather, in fact our worst could be described as spring-like in UK. As we went south the weather became cooler and cloudier but nowhere was it bad. The Falklands was beautiful and I do not think any British people should go to this part of the world without it being in the cruise itinerary. Sometimes it is impossible to tender because of bad weather but we had a glorious day and loved it. Montevedio and Buenos were hot. We spent 3 days post cruise in Buenos Aires and would recommend some time here. I have read other reports of this cruise and I have the impression that it may be better to do the trip Buenos-Valparaiso. We sailed through the Chilean Fiords at 5 am in the morning and did not get the wow factor I think is experienced if you sail later in the day as seems to happen on the Buenos-Valparaiso journey. Can recommend ship and itinerary.
