Q: Regarding the GALAPOGOS cruise on the Xpedition For many reasons I would rather fly from my local airport rather than Heathrow, but seem to be having difficulty arranging this with Celebrity. Can anyone please tell me :
1. which hotel Celebrity use for the pre and post cruise package in Quito
2. How far from the airport is the hotel
3. Would I be able to get to the hotel from the airport under my own steam e.g. get a taxi easily and how much would it cost?

I did this cruise in December and will be happy to answer any questions you have: they use the Marriott in Quito for the pre and post stay. A very very nice hotel indeed. If you are arriving on the Friday under your own steam Celebrity will arrange for you to be picked up, providing you let them know what your flight times are. Otherwise a cab costs around $6. It is not far. We arranged our own air with BA/AA via Miami, as Celebrity use Iberia via Madrid.
