You have probably cruised on the wrong ships. I've never come across this problem, but would not go back to a ship whose customers thought they were better than me.

Not true ... but some of the younger people (upto say around 25) have some strange ideas and can be a pain (not all). Some people seem to go on the ship to find 'something wrong' and thats all ages .. in some cases I think they are just looking for a free upgrade or something for nothing ... they are a pain to listen too when on a cruise

not all people who cruise are snobby bstards ! grow up and face the world , you would meet all people from all walks of life on a cruise .on my last cruise i met a hells angel taking his mum n dad on holiday to a millionaire and he didnt have a snobby attitude

I personally, have not come across "snobby b.....ds" fortunately, but have met many whose lifes' work is to moan and you are correct - they are usually old ! What have you done to have people "look down their nose "at you? A litttle thing like not wearing a tie will receive "looks like daggers" on some lines. No one should ever be made to feel uncomfortable by others actions.
