Q:
Singles - High seas robbery ?
I know that singles have to pay over the odds, but these figure from a certain cruise line's site are the worst I've seen 1 week cheapest accommodation Twin Cruise £649 Cruise only £339 so air £250 Single Cruise £1273 Cruise only £669 so air £609 I understand / accept paying more, say 50%, for the cabin but why 243% more for the flight ? One could fly to that port's airport for less than £100. What do you think ?

Why not try cruise lines whose ships have a reasonable number of single cabins? They are more expensive than the individual cost of double cabins. There lines include Fred. Olsen, SAGA, P&O and, I belive, Cunard.

Basically the cruise lines would be happiest if there were NO single cruisers, after all they get less total revenue per number of square meters occupied etc. I suspect they do offer single cabins etc because it would be bad publicity if they did not, no other reason. In your example the best bet would be to go cruise only and make your own flight arrangements.
