What to Wear? With Princess Cruises, customers have the choice to wear whatever makes them comfortable, whether you are at sea or on shore. | DAYTIME For Alaska, Canada & New England and Northern European cruises, it is suggested that you take medium-weight knits, warm sweaters, jackets, a light raincoat, gloves, a hat and an umbrella EVENING DRESS Evening dress falls into two categories; Formal or Smart Casual |  | Smart Casual If the dress code for the evening is smart casual, passengers are asked to dress as they would for a fine restaurant at home. A jacket and tie is optonal. Onboard Princess dining rooms, items such as cut-off t-shirts, shorts and torn jeans are not permitted. Shoes must be worn at all times.
Formal If the dress is formal, appropriate attire for the eveing will include evening gowns and cocktail dresses for the ladies and tuxedos, trousers with dinner jackets, or suits for men.
