Having had a fabulous time aboard the Island Escape in September 2003, we decided to repeat the experience on Ocean Village 2 in September 2007. To be fair, we did get a great deal, and there were 4 of us sharing an inside cabin instead of 2 of us in an outside cabin, but to me the experience simply wasn't the same. Firstly, we were expecting a new ship - which it clearly isn't. Secondly, we were persuaded by the travel agent that it wasn't worth paying the extra for an outside cabin for just a week's cruise - believe me, it is!
My partner thought that in general the quality of food was better than on the Island Escape, but I didn't find the atmosphere as friendly. Other passengers who'd been on both Ocean One and Two, also felt the same.
The one area of the ship I would thoroughly recommend is the kid's club - our daughter was just over 3 at the time, and had a lovely time in there. The staff were great and just let her stay as long as she wanted.

| Quality of Food | |
| We ate in all restaurants, but thought that the James Martin bistro was rather poor and not worth the money. | | Entertainment | |
| The deck show is spectacular, and the Abba show was enjoyed by all, including my 3 year old and my mother-in-law! | | Shore Excursions | n/a |
| Didn't bother - overpriced. | | Staff | n/a |
| Too long ago to remember. | | Children's Facilities | |
| Our 3 year old had a lovely time in the kid's club. | | Onboard Activities | |
| | Cabins | |
| Probably - although any cabin is going to feel cramped with 4 people in it! | | Overall Rating | |
